Testing societal readiness
in real-world settings
To ensure its solutions work beyond theory, IAM-CC will test and validate them in three Living Labs across Europe. Using healthcare logistics as a shared demonstration scenario, each Living Lab represents a different environment, bringing together local stakeholders to explore how Innovative Air Mobility can be integrated responsibly and in ways that respond to local needs.
Each Living Lab focuses on a different urban context, generating evidence and transferable knowledge that can support future IAM deployment across Europe.

Madrid
Enabling medical and interurban logistics
Madrid explores how Innovative Air Mobility can support medical and interurban logistics within a large metropolitan ecosystem. Building on previous IAM initiatives, the Living Lab will demonstrate hospital deliveries while preparing for future large-scale logistics applications and supporting the integration of IAM into mobility planning.

Transporting critical medical and pharmaceutical materials
The Milan Living Lab focuses on transporting critical medical and pharmaceutical materials between healthcare facilities. The demonstrations will explore how drone services can support hospital logistics while strengthening metropolitan planning, stakeholder collaboration and regulatory readiness.

Coimbra Region
Medical drone deliveries for low-density areas
The Coimbra Region Living Lab explores how drone services can improve healthcare access in rural and low-density areas. Demonstrations will focus on pharmacy-to-village medical deliveries, helping assess accessibility, societal readiness and community needs in a citizen-driven context.
